A local farm recently lost most of their corn crop due to extreme heat. They also had to cancel a family festival that many look forward to.

Sadly we'll be seeing much more of this in coming years as climate impacts accelerate.

Join @marisolmaddox.bsky.social @zacklabe.com and myself for a great discussion on why the Arctic is a critical section of our world, one of the areas changing fastest due to #climatechange, and what that means for the rest of us.

I planted peonies in my garden a few years ago for my wife and daughter. One good bloom a year that takes your breath away.

Many seem to be forgetting the beauty of the natural world. If you slow down and care to look, you'll be amazed.

My family and I have been going to LBI in New Jersey for decades. Over that time the dunes have been rebuilt many times and heightened due to storm threats. There's now at least a 20' vertical climb then descent to get to the beach. Climate realities, but not sustainable.

Just had @mzjacobson.bsky.social and Doug Houseman on my podcast to discuss renewables, transmission, the blackout in Spain, and much more. Perspectives on Sustainable Development, posting on Spotify on Tuesday.

Just got home from a week in Nashville with family. This #johnlewis mural struck me. As @booker.senate.gov has been telling everyone, it's time for some #goodtrouble to fight for what we believe in. We're more alike than we are different, and need to act like it.

My six year old and I are out picking dandelions this afternoon. Then she hits me with, "Daddy we have to leave some for the bees". Future environmental leader and very proud Dad.

The tariffs will not bring manufacturing back, but even if it did, this is still a huge problem that no one talks about. Americans love the idea of manufacturing and want certain types of jobs, but really don't want others. Much of this will go to AI and robotics.

I smoked a pork shoulder today, 12 hours. In that time, the Dep of Education was cut by 50%, tariffs were on then off, then on again, and more previously laid off from EPA returned to work. So much for DOGE cutting pork. At least my version doesn't need a knife. "How to tank the economy in 7 weeks."

Now that's a crazy six months for Tesla stockholders. The price is dropping so fast today I could only get a photo mid change.

$36T+ in debt. We'll undoubtedly great about tariffs tonight and trade wars, but the four largest drivers to the debt have nothing to do with trade.

Medicare/Medicaid, Social security, Defense, and Interest on the Debt in that order. Let's hear plans cut spending without gutting critical services.

This is getting so bad. We're honestly about six degrees of separation from Animal Farm at this point.
