We should first recognize that gender codes are socially constructed. Clothing is not inherently masculine or feminine—codes are contextual and can change over time. Aristocratic men once wore bright red heels. Then they became womenswear until that notion was challenged again.

Not true. I'll give you some examples of when styles crossed over from womenswear to menswear, and how men have worn straight-up womenswear or just feminine styles in cool ways. 🧵

#DisabledCreators of all stripes!

Let’s work together in creating, marketing, selling, etc — @barrowmember.bsky.social and I are gauging interest in a #CripCoop — starting with collecting a list of wants and needs, which then would match with another coop members skills/abilities.

Interested?

Telling someone who's autistic to ignore a sensory trigger is unlikely to help them.

Many autists report that their brain can't filter out triggers in the way NT's can.

We wish we could ignore them but we just can't.

Imagine telling someone to ignore a fire in a room. That's how it feels.

I haven't told anyone I'm here. I probably should? But then again, I kind of like the idea of not being known for a bit.

This is so interesting 😱 I am currently on my own pathway to diagnosis of hEDS, and I have had recurrent low folate for years now 🤔 going to keep an eye out for news on this!
If this study can be repeated this is AWESOME news for people with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos

Tulane has an EDS hypermobility clinic now.
