Abusive relationships are exhausting at any time, tbf, but there's more agency and avenues of change than this. Which REALLY makes me feel insane, like I'm nostalgic for the simpler days when I was leaving an abusive husband and later teaching abused kids. Wtf. Sorry for tmi, see: feeling insane

Yes. I was a trauma expert, & I keep stopping while fantasizing/numbing/crying/rage to say "wow, you're in trauma response, how can you change this?" I do healthy thing, more bs happens, spiral again. Abusive relationships, like the one we all have with govt rn, are exhausting when you can't leave.
