Gerade gelernt: die Sommerzeit hat die DDR der Bundesrepublik rein gedrückt.
Im Osten war das allerdings als Experiment gedacht und sollte nach einem Jahr wegen Misserfolg wieder abgeblasen werden. Da stellte man sich im Westen dann quer. Das Abblasen wurde abgeblasen.

It was very interesting to write this review article about 12hr rhythms in marine species and mammals. Almots 20 years after the first description of these 12hr rhythms in mouse liver, we still don't know a lot about their role and their regulation!

Workflow of Cyclic Ordering with Feature Extraction (COFE). Data without time labels are first optionally pre-filtered and then standardized. A novel cross-validation approach finds a value for the unknown sparsity parameter that guarantees good temporal ordering. Finally, COFE both assigns time labels to the samples and produces a list of rhythmic features in the data.

That’s a good question. In the preprint we present data that in our view suggest rhythmic GP340 mediated entry of S aureus into mammalian epithelial cells. See also Tsujihana et al 2022 for a CXCL14 mediated immune rhythm. But if S aureus itself has a clock is unpublished.
