I’m sad that you’re bringing Batober a close, but I’m glad that we’ve had what you’ve given us. I know you’ll still bring us the girls on their adventures, but these little slices will always be a pick me up, and I’m grateful. 😊

When I was a kid, I foolishly thought vampires were real.
Then I grew up, became wiser, and learned the proper term was “venture capitalist”.

Your yearly reminder that our right to speak up and protest, an enduring trust in the courts, and our ability to vote without undue restraints ARE the compromise position to the anthropologically and historically preferred method of eating the oligarchs and their families at the first opportunity.

This round of upgrading my wifi has made me so unbearably dry-mouthed. I know Moderna Mouth is a thing, but gat-damn, it's ridicowockle.

Also, thirsty a lot. But like, not for lots of liquid. Just like, 2-3 sips at a time and then I'm good for a while. Like my body is saying "ah, yes, fluid!"

This brings back memories of my abusive ex rebuilding her character literally *every session* because even though she kept all of her books and sheets in the same bag, which she always had on her, the sheets would just mysteriously disappear. So mystery. Much unexplained.

Who do I know in the art world who can emulate the look, feel, and mood of Little Witch Academia?

No reason.

So cool that whenever someone asks the president, “did you eat the Lindbergh baby” he’s like, “no but I’d be allowed to, I have the right to, I might do it later”

Scam alert: there's an IngramSpark impersonator at ingramsparkbookpublishers dot com. Part of a wave of publishing/ghostwriting scams from Pakistan that hijack authors looking to self-publish--they often "borrow" well-known publisher names but this one also "borrows" the real IngramSpark's logo
Screenshot of IngramSpark impersonator's contact form, with chat window where scammer sales rep "Travis Clark" claims that "We are Ingram Spark's hands-on services department. You will be able to find our information here: https://www.ingramsparkbookpublishers.com/

Last night my brain kept trying to do very high level maths, which if you know me at all is *not* something I’m good at. But fever-dream me thought I was getting somewhere.

yes this timeline is a rough route. yes there are waves of strife. but behind it all lies the inertia of all things which prompted fish to trot out of the ocean and humans to gather in commune. we are driven to fill the nothing with ourselves, with LOVE. its the unconquerable wind behind our sails

I know I’ve said this a million times if I’ve said it once, but I really love the pure joy that comes off of this pair every time you draw them. When I’m having a really bad day, I often come to your work for some hope and love of life.

My fever broke (and came back) three-ish times last night, which of course made my cat very put out as I got rid of all my blankets, then crawled back under them in cycles.

Anyone else’s brain refuse to shut up when they’re sick? Find it hard to actually rest, let alone sleep?

Anyway I’m saying that even today we just don’t get screen couples who are crazy about each other. And we need more of that. There are other ways to instill drama besides “I hate my spouse.”

Give us couples who love each other unapologetically. Make it clear that they can’t get enough of that love.
chronopunk.bsky.social
Think about it. Other than The Munsters and The Addams Family, how many screen couples were just always in love and not afraid to show it?

Most times, the best we got was a cool detente. If they didn’t hate one another, they rarely showed open adoration. There had to be a fight before “I love you.”

It’s a cheesy show in many ways, but I don’t think people really appreciate how mold-breaking “Hart To Hart” really was. The Harts were CRAZY about one another. They were actively, madly in love, the kind we had really only seen in a few shows up to that time. They broke the “I hate my spouse” rule.
