they can jail us and they can kill us but there is no universe where they can make me or any of my neighbors ashamed of what we are doing

if i want water from the sink, i have to turn on the faucet. if i want to ride my bike, i have to pedal and engage the gears. there is a mechanism. my point is that there is no *mechanism* by which elections can be canceled. it's not about norms, it is about how things work.

There isn’t a mechanism to suspend elections nationally because they are controlled by the states. Trump and Miller can make demands, but enforcing those demands is an entirely different issue. Elections have never been canceled in the U.S., not even during the Civil War. Not to say they won’t try.
