The #childhoodcinema posts reminded me of the Picture House near where I grew up. Built in the 20s, it had an Art Deco interior and two booths set back either side of the door to the main space with double seats and *curtains*

Saw Raiders of the Lost Ark there. There were 5 of us in the audience
A really early photo of the Picture House. A single story with a curved arch bearing the name and a metal and glass portico in front which repeats the name. It’s advertising The Red Ensign. It was a bit more run down in my day

Last year my youngest spent a week in my office destroying hard drives so they could be recycled. He asked if he could have some of the bits.

He made these with them for his art GCSE coursework

Less of a book, more of a poster. Spent hours looking at this before I had access to an actual computer to try things on.

Bailey is somewhat annoyed I wanted to take a photo of her sleeping, stretched across the top of an armchair.
A cat that was sleeping serenely till I approached with my phone, but is now looking a little annoyed at the camera, in the back of a deep blue chair with a Christmas tree beyond.
