And without prejudicing the MAIB's findings I'd suggest that painting your uncrewed vessel in hi-vis black might have looked great in your publicity shots but probably lacks a little je ne sais quoi in the rather more useful "not twatting into it by accident" department.

WATCH: One of North America’s dirty city-building secrets that we don’t talk about enough is the AWFUL ELEVATOR OLIGOPOLY that leads to elevators and their maintenance being RIDICULOUSLY expensive here compared to the rest of the world. Kudos to @uytaelee.bsky.social & @sightline.org for this video.

The #childhoodcinema posts reminded me of the Picture House near where I grew up. Built in the 20s, it had an Art Deco interior and two booths set back either side of the door to the main space with double seats and *curtains*

Saw Raiders of the Lost Ark there. There were 5 of us in the audience

Last year my youngest spent a week in my office destroying hard drives so they could be recycled. He asked if he could have some of the bits.

He made these with them for his art GCSE coursework

A poem called "When It Happens"

When it happens, I will open a bottle of champagne.
When it happens, I will hug my loved ones.
When it happens, I hope it happens on live TV, and involves pissing out a barbed kidney stone the size of a watermelon while everyone around laughs.

Cut and pasting URLs from an RSS feed because the player built into this podcast’s home page doesn’t have a volume control and the default level is so loud it’s distorting.

Only ever had my bag pulled twice. Second time was for a box of business cards that the fancy print made look like a circuit board/ battery.

The first was for a metal knife and fork I’d “borrowed” off the connecting flight.
Bag got pulled by security at the airport so I told him before he opened it that I was carrying medicinal cannabis. 'Yeah, not bothered about that, it's your toothpaste' 🤪

This is interesting because when I went for my first Covid vaccination, Farage arrived and pushed straight to the front of the queue.
Farage: "I believe in vaccinations when they're vaccinations. I don't think what happened with Covid were vaccinations. You have to keep having them every 6 months."

Conspiratorial nonsense.

Some vaccinations like Covid shots require multiple/seasonal doses because immunity fades & viruses change.

I was on a field trip to London from university and, as we got on the coach back, the driver tuned the TV at the front in for the last episode - we didn’t set off until it was over. Just sat there in a parking bay watching it
OK, for a show you can actually see with your eyes:

Blackadder Goes Forth.

Oddly, when only listened to – and it stands up perfectly well as a radio show – the last episode doesn't hit nearly as hard.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc
