Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” lands a $1 billion tax break for Big Oil as EPA staff are told to “pause” oil and gas enforcement.
Broadcast networks should give the scandal the attention it deserves.
TV news barely covered Trump's Big Oil "quid pro quo" last year. Now that it's come to fruition, networks should give the scandal the attention it deserves.

On Father's Day, Esther Ngumbi thinks of the sacrifices her Kenyan dad made to ensure that not only his son but his four daughters got an education. He'd say, "I choose to educate you, my girls."
People told my dad not to bother educating his 4 daughters. He didn't listen

They can weaken and silence scientific organisations but this won’t mean climate change is not happening

In fact the impacts will be worse because without easily-available information, it will be harder to be resilient or adapt. People will be harmed by this

🧪 Detailed data viz NYT article, out today, on the extent of funding cuts at the National Science Foundation.

This "broken pie chart" is neat & new to me: Powerfully shows the slowdown in new NSF awards across areas.

Update:
UNBELIEVABLE ALMOST 27 DEGREES IN ICELAND

Climatic history rewritten.
And sadly, another terrible failure by all models, none of which saw 24C+ in Iceland for this warm episode, although it was obvious it was going to be historic and much warmer than that.
