The number of people asking for empathy towards a person who rejected the very idea of it is weird to me.

The new Cracker Barrel logo follows modern marketing best practices and these MAGA guys sure are sensitive and easily offended.

Superman was fun. A little shaggy, in a good way.

I know everybody is talking about Superman right now, but I’m a little obsessed with the Thunderbolts* score at the moment.

Thunderbolts* might be the MCU movie with the most emotional ending since Guardians of the Galaxy, and a smarter take on the “villains team up to become heroes” concept compared to Suicide Squad.

It’s so weird how so many people are absolutely unforgiving for one set of illegal activity (as they call it) while cheering on another.

I’ve had two Pyrex baking dishes spontaneously shatter on me (while stored inside a drawer) and I’m starting to suspect some sort of lasagna-averse poltergeist.

Or maybe because my kitchen drawers aren’t soft close.

OMG that Severance finale.

Note that Karl Rove isn’t critical of the thinking, but that someone said them out loud and put it on the teevee.

It strikes me that @jamesgunn.bsky.social and Peter Safran are working to bring fun back to comic book movies.

Where MCU was comics-in-the-real-world + world-building and DCEU was imagining a modern mythology, DCU is Krypto the Dog, animated TV series, and a film about two Robins.

It’s fun.

Someone please explain in very small words. If Elon Musk is obstructing the functions of government by locking the doors to USAID and The Dept of Education, say, isn’t that grounds for arrest?

If only they pursued lowering family costs with the same intensity they have for fighting DEI programs.

My Instagram now shows me more sponsored content and recommended-for-me stories than the people I actually follow, so we’ve reached the tipping point of IG being interesting to me. :(

Import to note:
The idea that a president can issue an executive order that overrides Congress, while it may be appealing to everyone who wants TikTok back and agrees that the TikTok ban is a first amendment violation, is actually illegal dictator shit

It’s not my favorite Marvel movie, but three years later, I still have a great fondness for The Eternals because it was a comic book movie with the biggest idea. Namely, what happens when angels lose faith in god?

okay, we're starting with this

Step 1. call your own rep if you haven't already!

Step 2. sign this (cis women only please! cis guys, you can help by boosting)

Step 3. much depends on the success and reach of step 2; lots of options if this blows up

Let’s start at the beginning. I was born in Hong Kong. Here’s pics from last week, my second time back in my lifetime since I left.
