I rewatched the whole series a few years ago and that is one part of it that didn't age well. I think there was one about a weirdo that found Jim's wallet that made me laugh, but most of them were really lame.

They had to explain the plot machinations because the previous season was 8 years ago. Even they forgot what the fuck had been going on.

I can't say for certain it was the first LP I ever heard, but apparently my mother owned Rubber Soul because all my older relatives could never stop reminding me I would blurt out "MEEE-SHELLL....MA BELLE" when I was barely old enough to talk.

I have never watched him but almost everything I've heard makes him seem like an updated version of that Australian putz who was in Energizer battery commercials 30 years ago.

As an old fart, I can remember Reggie McKenzie getting praised for how well he did this for OJ in the 70s. Reggie was about 60 lbs lighter than this guy. And an inch taller.

In the mid 80s heyday, half the games were on Sportschannel, which wasn't part of our cable. Had to go watch games at an old man bar that had a satellite dish. Best memory of that place: they had a bar snack called Blind Robins. I asked for a pkg; bartender says, "You don't want that". He was right.

I'm coming up on my one year anniversary of living in Texas and I'm still kinda thinking Chip will be an upgrade over Paxton.

I don't know if there has ever been another human with a larger difference between who they think they are and who they actually are then Mike Johnson.

Where I was in NY, 90 miles north of NYC, you *had* to pay for cable. The only thing you could get with an antenna there was Trinity Broadcasting🤮. I paid (I think) 125 for MLBtv to watch the Mets where I now live in Houston, and in comparison it is a bargain.
