I am all for beaver reintroductions in the UK. However, after escaping search parties for a year now, the beavers themselves clearly have their own agenda! 🦫

I turned my attention inland over the weekend - to birds 🐦. After storm Eowyn had passed, I took part in the #RSPB #BigGardenBirdwatch. After a very exciting hour, we had 15 different species recorded, including three species of tit, the humble wood pigeon, and a treecreeper!

A great tit hangs onto a bird seed feeder with a piece of pink feed in its mouth. It has a black head with white cheeks, and a yellow body with a black strip down its front.

A blue tit perches on a branch whilst flitting between feeding stations. It is small, with a blue scalp, white face, and a black line running from the back of its head, over its eye to its beak. It has a yellow body, with a black strip running down its front.

A wood pigeon, sits on a garden wall. It is mostly grey with a white patch on its neck. It also has a bulbous head and an orange beak.

A long-tailed tit takes off from a suet ball cage. Looking a bit like a cake pop, it has a small plump body with a long tail. They are pale-pinkish colour with black eyebrows and a white strip down the centre of their head.
