Found this earlier this year which explains why mine and yours are towering now not in a month’s time. We have pointy thanksgiving ones.

Lovely illustration :)

I think they need to do a licensing deal with these folks. As the possability of these is excellent. My youngest has some and we keep finding them around his room looking like they just stopped moving when you walked in.

Still some flowers holding on in the garden but the most “what are you thinking” way too early plant is the various and variegated nasturtium seedlings popping up all over the show.

Also emptied another grow bag of spuds grown from some that had sprouted. Decent hand full of new salad potato sized ones.

And, not pictured, discovered some bastarding cat had got into my zipped up plastic greenhouse to poop in a freshly dug tomato pot. Not my cat, she would never.

Result of the what can I get from this broken off potato slip? Experiment.

Result, it made one pretty large spud, three small ones and a fair few tiny wee Marley ones.

Found some stuff. The chairs were orange, the sofa was dark green, the wood was white but at least one suffered from the 1980s paint stripping fad. The wee white square coffee table is in there too as is a huge round white single legged dining table.

Insomnia hitting pretty hard right now, but Aurora. Not visible with the naked eye, but the phone camera can see it ok.

It is once again the most wonderful time of the year, that magical time when the Autumn and Christmas menus overlap. Christmas fries with pumpkin spice cappachino.

My little tub of garage snowdrops from last year is up to something nagging :)

Went to the Ulster Folk museum yesterday and found the nicest view while the kids were making Samhain masks in an old m, relocated for history purposes, orange hall. #52 on the museum map if you ever get to go.

Pinched a pretty drawing from Pinterest. I’d no idea there were different types until I bought one at Christmas last year in Ikea, that turned out to not be a Christmas one after all, some kind of horticultural magical arts must be employed to make them flower for shopping season.

Hurrah! David Mack managed to work the word technobabble into a Star Trek novel as seamless natural language. Well done!

Book is great so far.

It’s a Halloween miracle, two marshmallow thingies in one pack! Like getting a double yolk egg but bad sugary.

And when we got home, this handsome devil was there to meet us. Possibly hunting for spiders given where it was hanging out. Anyone know which parasitic wasp this is? (Species that is, we already know it’s called Spike)

Went for a walk in Clandeboye Estate yesterday during @naturalistdara.bsky.social ‘s book launch event, lovely walk, many facts, and spectacular mushrooms (mushroom fruiting bodies that is).

First part of the trilogy, I vote Cameron Chapman to play him. The boy can fence. Fill in some time for him before he is inevitably Dr Who.

Chrysolina bankii? A very shiny leaf beetle. He’s ok, he’s just hiding his legs because he spotted me approaching.
