Everyone working for ICE in any capacity needs to be ostracised, as do their spouses, their kids and their extended families.
If your job is to not show compassion for others and their families, then the same apples to you and yours, even if you're "just following orders".

Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

His beloved dog, Meggie, stopped to do her business. I picked up the product and tied up a bag. My dad waved his hand toward me, I handed him the bag, and kept walking down the beach. When I turned around, I saw him re-tying the bag, and I just started laughing. He gave me this look, and kind of growled at me, in a way that you’ll probably recognize, “What?” I asked him what he was doing, and he demonstrated an objectively superior way of tying the bag. That was why I was laughing: because even for this unimportant task, there was a right way and a wrong way to do it. He chose the right way, and he did that every time that mattered. When you leave here today, and you think about my dad, that’s what I want you to remember. Most things worth doing aren’t going to be easy. You can do things the easy way and convince yourself that you’re not cutting any corners, but deep down, you’ll know the truth. You could have done better. You could have done more. You could have made a difference in someone’s life at a time when they really needed it. Nobody can make you do the right thing. That choice belongs to you, and it really is a choice. The next time you’re faced with that dilemma, I hope you’ll think of Tom Wyman. I hope you’ll think of a man who spent his whole life throwing himself headfirst into the right things without any expectation of acclaim or wealth or even recognition. He left the world a better place than he found it, not because of one extraordinary act, but because of a lifetime spent making thousands of tiny, seemingly inconsequential decisions to do things the right way. That’s decency. That’s kindness. That’s a life worth living."
