Yes. Confusion and fear is part of it. Which is why states need to say "make us." Force them to actually enforce this stuff. It becomes a hydra of enforcement difficulty for the feds.

California, New York, and Nevada constitutionally cannot comply. Gender identity is constitutionally protected in those states.

there needs to be a counter to the corporate-owned, american mainstream social media and there needs to be a mass disconnect from these platforms. not just out of political reasoning, but of social reasoning. the algorithms of these sites are increasingly hostile to

how would they know what our sex at birth would be? birth certificates are handled at the state-level and if you could change it in your state, then wouldn't your "sex at birth" be your chosen gender? as far as i know, they don't keep records of these changes..
