I'd think there's a good chance the seat could go Green. The Greens have a pretty strong grip on the council already. Many local activists have left (Town Close Independents). The comrades I know still in Labour are just very weary and jaded.
Clive Lewis said he had been “asked a hypothetical question, and I gave a hypothetical answer” - that he would give up his seat to give Andy Burnham a chance to be in parliament

In this hypothetical world, how would a Norwich South by-election go?

So glad I quit Labour long ago, they just get more horrific with each announcement.

I wrote something bleak about how I think REFUK are in with a good chance at the next general election.

An acre of land can power a car to go 13,000 miles per year using biofuel (corn ethanol), or 900,000 miles per year using solar.

#OtD 30 Jan 1965 British ex-Prime Minister Winston Churchill's funeral took place. Dock cranes dipped as his barge passed but it later emerged that dockworkers had to be paid extra to do it as they "didn't like" him. Hear it from a former dockworker himself!

Going to be looking for work soon, spoke with an agent I've worked with a lot in the past and he said the contract market has been very quiet for a while. Definitely a bit nervous about it.

Exactly this. The problem is - refusing to frame the conversation around the economic catastrophe that is Brexit immediately makes the discourse a fact-free one. And that is where Nigel Farage thrives. He is an architect of this mess but is unaccountable for it. It’s incredible.
I can be as critical as anyone of the government's occasionally muddled message on growth but Look! At! This! Chart!! Anything they've done pales next to this GIGANTIC UNFORCED ERROR COMMITTED IN 2016!

Something that seems like a common feature of reactionary politics is that even when they're winning, even when they've got what they've been asking for, they still act like they're not in charge.

Just finished watching GLOW on Netflix, really enjoyed it though I'm annoyed they didn't make a 4th season.

Not sure what to write on here. I've had politics account on here for ages so I think I'll mostly keep politics off here and stick to the trials and tribulations of parenting and coding.
