If MN has proven anything, it's that despite their willingness to send massive numbers and unchained brutality at a city, they still couldn't cow it or control it enough to take over. They don't have the numbers or manpower to take over elections in a major metro, much less nationwide

Lets also ignore that he was actually 'forced out' because of issues with the vice chair elections and decided to cut and run while his co-vice chair ran again and got his seat back anyhow.

It was an unprecedented embarrassment that Kevin McCarthy was removed as Speaker of the *House* (which is already an oopsie here), the only time it's ever happened in history, and that required so much GOP discontent as to initiate the motion to vacate.

Hell, Trump is the only presidential *nominee* period who didn't slink back into either the background or a lesser role and avoid any whiff of real party leadership since...what, Nixon? And even Nixon took years away from the spotlight before the opportunity arose again.

Literally the only president that refused to go away after his presidency was Trump, and that was part 'using candidacy to avoid prosecution', part 'my ego refuses to admit defeat', and part 'media can't quit Trump and still privileges him as 'Real America Personified'

One of the most underrated things in politics is the idea that 'sometimes, you need the bad things to not happen before you can start making good things happen'. Yet somehow folks declare that good things not happening fast enough is reason to take a chance on bad thing causing good to happen faster

I keep having to point out those inconvenient things like 'Clinton had an oppositional Congress for 6/8 years of his presidency'. And 'Republicans have had more trifecas in 16 years of presidency than Dems have had in 20'
