People are reading this way wrong. Schumer detached DHS from the other five bills in return for a two week CR on the DHS bill. Now Democrats can make demands on DHS spending without having to shut down agencies covered in the other five bills. They have way more leverage to get real concessions.

This admin is still trying to figure out how to translate social media clout into votes and are, thankfully, continuing to come up short on that metric.
Really not trying to downplay the seriousness of journalists being arrested for doing journalism but the DOJ clearly did this for content purposes. It won't stick legally. It'll do numbers online though. The engagement will be tremendous.
