This win was powered by community leaders and workers across West London. 20+ civil society institutions, including churches, colleges, mosques, synagogues, demanded fair pay for NHS workers.

No family should have to choose to choose between heating their homes or eating a meal.

Low pay has a devastating impact on workers, including:

🛏️ No rest between shifts
🍽️ Skipped meals
💔 Strained relationships
🧠 Poor mental health

That's why it's more important than ever to deliver a fair day’s pay for a hard day’s work.

Care work is skilled, vital work. No one should be paid the bare minimum to care for others in their hour of need.

💰 The real #LivingWage, £13.45 UK, £14.80 London is based on the true cost of living. Paying it would lift thousands out of in-work poverty.

Abdul was one of those cleaners. He bought shares to join HSBC's AGM & said to the Chairman: ‘Sir John, we work in the same office but live in different worlds. Let me tell you what it’s like to work on £4.50 an hour & bring up six children.’
