On the one hand it’s horrifying to see, on the other to avoid it may be to numb oneself to the violence and keep thinking of such acts in the abstract. I watched the assassination video and was sickened, but it made it more real.

He should be ashamed of himself, and it’s such a tired playbook of perpetuating a misunderstanding of actual Marxism. SMH, but that’s the great misunderstanding in this country about what socialism actually is, versus the caricature that the GOP loves to peddle.

I read the article just now, if you hadn’t posted I would have glossed right over the problem, which is concerning on how often we do that not just with the @nytimes.com pieces, but any other journalism. Thank you for sharing.
