Some talking heads on @cnn.com is saying this is great @democrats.org pragmatism. 🤔 Sounds like pre-2015 punditry, to me.

I guess the only silver lining in the @democrats.org shameful capitulation is that there is a very short memory in the general voting public, but primaries can be a great force to send a message!

Watching the press conference of the Dem senators who act like there weren’t going to be people hurting when they voted for the shutdown, I don’t get it, when the GOP won’t work with them, their phrases like “shame on them,” and “we’re going to hold their feet to the fire on the ACA,” rings false.

Senator Schumer is no longer effective and should be replaced. If you can’t lead the fight to stop healthcare premiums from skyrocketing for Americans, what will you fight for?

I guess they learned how to spin economic unreality like Biden did.
Prices are not that high and are already coming down, Trump administration officials argued today, amid mounting outrage at the affordability of everyday goods.
Prices have leveled off and will start coming down, Bessent says
The government's own data shows consumer prices rising, not falling.

What the hell was the point @democrats.org you willingly grab defeat from the jaws of victory. If the ACA subsidies expire, which they will, the republicans won’t do anything to help, you’ll help fund a party in control that doesn’t care about the people. SMH, it’s like the party likes losing!

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

This should go without saying, but Trump is not opposed to political violence. He’s opposed to violence against his political allies.
He is either silent about, or approving of, violence against his political enemies.

Executing anyone for speech you disagree with is not any victory or final rebuttal. It’s weak and reprehensible. I didn’t care for Kirk’s views, but he had every right to speak them.

Growing up in the 90’s I recall many bumper stickers that stated “the media is as liberally biased as the corporations that own them.” What is more chilling is how quickly these corporations capitulate out of greedy self interest, as if that will save them in the end.

Independents and Biden to Trump voters need to remember the fallout of the “big beautiful bill” bullshit come the midterms. Democrats better find a good, solid theme and start whipping for the votes now, and don’t get embroiled in testing room BS. Be genuine, be angry, it’s ok, you should be!

“they assert that ridding the Medicaid rolls of slackers and undocumented immigrants who should not be getting taxpayer help will shave off billions of dollars without touching benefits for those in need.” So undocumented workers probably pay into the system, by the way.

It’s a shitty time right now, but the only way to build a strong coalition is to be able to call out bullshit and not feel that a small percentage of the base is perpetuating a minority group-think position that becomes a litmus test to work together. Purity tests destroy collaboration.

I’ll say my position: free speech on public grounds should be allowed, always. However, when you go onto private property, you have to follow the rules, or suffer the consequences. It’s not rocket science here.
