In all reality, there were almost certainly more actual people in the NY market watching this game than any other market on this list other than perhaps D.C. - there's just more overall people in NY by a wide margin, and therefore a lower rating.

Saw the Horner rumors and said "absolutely not, I'll fucking do it myself"

Like the take of "AI shouldn't exist and is terrible for kids and everyone" is correct. But being mad at Google for saying "well, parent then" is achieving the goal (killing AI) while failing the underlying ethical principle at work (don't ban things you don't personally like)
November 26, 2025 at 5:57 PM
We should not use AI. You should absolutely each your kids not to use it. *You* shouldn't use it. We should not use it until it ceases to exist. That is the correct answer, and you *should* parent to that end.
November 26, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Refusing to allow things to exist because you might have to be a parent to your child is exactly how you get book banning and garbage shit like that.
November 26, 2025 at 5:54 PM
I cannot stress enough that I am not defending AI here. I am just vehemently against the curtailing of the world because your child might see/experience something you need to functionally parent them about. That's life. That's okay to exist.
November 26, 2025 at 5:54 PM
Like fuck Google, Gemini, AI in general, etc. However, a response of "this may be inappropriate for your kids, so you should parent them" is unequivocally 100% correct, that is exactly how it should work.

The opposite is where you get Mastercard/Visa determining morality for you. That's bad!

Overall, just a super savvy set of PR moves from the USLPA all around. Exactly the right strategic tact in a tough CBA fight. I haven't seen a single fan on the league's side anywhere.

USLPA's argument on public-facing things like this aren't an argument being made 'to' ownership - it's being made to fans to pressure ownership, so to me that's fine.

But also, USL has always wanted to distinguish itself as 'not minor league', so they sort of invited that pressure onto themselves.

Those shirts and these signs from supporters of the two teams which were cut from the CBS broadcast very clearly rankled people at USL HQ if they had to go to those lengths

It's literally the rules man, not sure what's so controversial about that. Forcible contact to the face is a red card, he very clearly does it. 🤷‍♂️

Gueye slapped him across the face, the ref is obligated to give him a red there, it's violent conduct.

Here's an alternate angle, Gueye slapped him in the face, it's a straight red for violent conduct. Target doesn't matter and it's out of the ref's hands, you have to red that.
