we should not be letting any company get away with blaming AI for their failures. I'm not even sure how we got to this point. people are like "it's just a tool" okay so is a forklift and we still hold somebody responsible when it goes wrong and hurts someone. this is YOUR AI!

Other countries also watch how we react to someone like Donald Trump and they take notes. But it's easier to talk about foreign threats than domestic ones, isn't it?

This is one of the weaknesses of civility politics, it falls for the form. That humiliating content farming is debate-shaped, we have to treat it as legitimate! Fox News is news-shaped, we have to treat it as legitimate! The Free Press is newspaper-shaped. etc etc.
