The US DOT has awarded $5B to projects to rebuild, repair and restore 13 large, critically important US bridges. The latest awards are Large Bridge Grants, a subset of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act’s Bridge Investment Program.

Almost all of the 463 miles of the route between San Francisco and Los Angeles has been environmentally cleared with the exception of relatively small portion between Los Angeles and Anaheim.

It's unlikely a ship of the size that felled the Baltimore bridge can travel further up the Mississippi River than New Orleans. Still, given the catastrophic outcome if one of those bridges were to collapse, it's definitely worth assessing the risk no matter how small the possibility.
