I finished listening to Vincent Woodard’s THE DELECTABLE NEGRO. Good book, difficult material. Consider reading bell hooks’ THE WILL TO CHANGE and Isabel Wilkerson’s CASTE before Woodard’s academic text.

if anyone visits detroit ,the charles wright museum of black African history will take your breath away. they have a replica of the compartment on a slave ship ,and so much other brutal things ,but also proud history too . you will need to sit and cry a little ,but is a must see.i want to go again.
