I actually really like Aptos (this linked deep dive is really nice) for what it is and what they did with the Office suite of fonts, it just probably looks "too woke" to them.

Similar in Ohio, we had days throughout the spring designated as make up days, if we had too many snow days we'd use the make up days first and then tack onto the end of the year. If not, they were just days off for students (but think teachers used them as planning/training days).
