I do appreciate that but the nature of our parliamentary democracy is that parties put forward their policies in a manifesto for voters to consider. If we had an election every time a party changes a leader it would cost the country a fortune in election costs and parliament would be stymied!

How many times did the Tories change PM though? In our electoral system we vote for parties, not PMs... so not sure that argument would fly 🤔
