@angelapointon.bsky.social, Elaine Hunter and I had the opportunity to talk #dementia, #brainhealth and the role of AHPs to physio students at #RGU today. Lots of engagement and hopefully good feedback.

How wonderful to have a joint meeting with the Welsh AHP dementia forum today. Great discussions about the newly published ADI report about rehabilitation in dementia and it's implications for AHPs

Absolutely fantastic day at the #RCSLT Scottish hub day. A wee contribution by myself and @sltros.bsky.social with a lightening talk on how we have used data in developing SLT frailty services but really enjoyed brilliant and challenging talks on AI and leadership

Also lots of round houses to be seen on the lower slopes of the hill and a great local museum at the foot

A lovely day in Gairloch, I am not a mountain climber and barely tolerate hills, this seemed to be doable but required some actual climbing which was terrifying! But amazing views all the way to Skye
View across the loch to Skye from Meall nah Lolaire The scary peak of Meall nah Lolaire

☑️ New research in @Age_and_Ageing

⭐️The 4AT is more than a #delirium tool: a score of ≥1 has an 87% sensitivity for known #dementia in older hospital patients.

➡️ Could assist in identifying dementia in hospital inpatients.

I was driving along a road in Aberdeen today thinking exactly this, it didn't feel exclusive but inclusive and I hope it feels that way to everyone.

Nooo you are coming to Aberdeen when we are on holiday! (It's the schools October break) Oh well, hopefully you will love it so much you will come back

I see a lot of this in people referred due to swallowing difficulties where no one has explained to the family or the person that this is part of increasing frailty and a trajectory that is predictable.

Very lucky to have been given the opportunity to see this last night. I didn't know what it was about and only vaguely knew who Rhod was. But the show is side splittingly funny, desperately sad, thought provoking and positive. I spent the way home explaining H+N cancers to my non SLT friends though

You know I love history and facts! This reel features some history on Pride, its roots, and the decades of activism that inspired it. This history and the activists who fought for change is one of the reasons Pride month is so important. Here's to celebrating Pride all year long!🌈

We want Drs, nurses, psychologists, social workers, OTs, PTs & any other profession.

The survey can be accessed here: qualtrics.ucl.ac.uk/jfe/form/SV_...

The best dresses for summer wedding guests, according to an insane article in the Guardian. This one is primary school art smock meets Alien 3.
“The best dresses for summer weddings
Painted Kozo dress
£185 at Emiko Studios”

Woman wearing a wide brown smock with a big black splodge on the chest, accessorised with socks and sandals. She looks ridiculous.

Interesting that they forgot to mention that Scotland does have Dementia strategies. However we all still face significant issues in meeting the needs of people living with dementia
