that said, as someone who currently asks for donations and depends on people liking my stuff in order to maybe pull ahead in some situations I'm in, I really understand the necessity of having access to a large audience

I've been actually coming around on this. I really think there's a very big focus on reach and having the biggest numbers instead of the social experience. It really brings down the possibilities.

i don't even understand the point. I mean, I can see the appeal of atproto as a protocol and everything, but if the lead is acting like this, why would I even want to use it instead of using ActivityPub or anything else? her actions hurt adoption, she should know this

I swear to god, I constantly prune and manage my subscriptions because I know that if I don't the ADHD my snipe my whole day away. I even disable all recommendations via plugin.

If everyone starts pushing random off-topic collabs on my feed I might actually quit YouTube altogether

Sigh. I got the results from the cat scan yesterday. My right lung has a membrane that's normally the thickness of plastic wrap. It's current 1cm to 2cm thick. That's the tumor. I’ll be setting up a gofundme to help with my medical bills
