Keep reading more and more about the potentiality of brain stimulation. Can't wait to see where this other piece of the puzzle will bring our understanding 🦾
...and what a great player put it in the right spot 🌺

🧠⚡️Brain stimulation is powerful, yet its effects are notoriously variable: identical parameters can produce very different outcomes. In our new preprint, we show how the brain’s state before stimulation helps explain and reduce this variability. 🧵1/n

Pre-stimulus Brain States Predict and Control Variability in Stimulation Responses
Does the ongoing brain state determine how it responds to localized electrical stimulation? This fundamental question has major implications for neuroscience and medicine, as stimulation outcomes rema...

Good things come in a bunch!
Not only is my paper getting great recognition, but I have also submitted my PhD thesis and received a research grant from the Canon Foundation in Europe to spend the next few months working on my next project at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology! 🇯🇵

Our paper is out! We used Micro-C to study the 3D genome organization at high resolution in trypanosomes and revealed an extensive network of inter-chromosomal transcription hubs. read more at doi.org/10.1038/s414... 🧬 Great work from @claudiarabu.bsky.social @naturecomms.bsky.social
