When I visited Grand Canyon National Park, I noticed a large chasm, spanning many kilometers, with water at the bottom. I suspect that is the reasoning behind the name of the park.

I took this photo 10 months ago, during the last day of operations of the Coimbra-A rail station. Nowadays, no tracks and overhead wires exist, as the rail connection to the main station of Coimbra is being replaced by a much better system, under the name of Metro Mondego. #photography #rail #past
