(I don't really know what to say right now. Charlie isn't getting any better. For a while I thought maybe he was but I was wrong. He just cannot fight off this infection and is struggling so much. We are taking him into the vets this evening and will be letting him go. We love him so much)

I dunno if you're familiar with them, but there's a Russian post-rock band called Chernikovskaya Hata that made one banger of an album and then disappeared, but they're definitely a spiritual successor to Kino and Molchat Doma!

This was largely because the "acclaiming critics" of that time were functioning members of the 60s/70s Nostalgia Industrial Complex; + only grudgingly covered the bands of the 90s, if at all. They wanted their Golden Era to remain supreme.

A depressing thing about contemporary culture is that back in the 90s you had loads of 60s/70s acts making big critically acclaimed returns: Bowie, Dylan, Nelson, Young, Emmylou Harris. And yet you struggle to think of any 90s acts doing the same today.

It shines bright enough you can detect it from the Ohio side of the lake as a red beam that lights low clouds.

Two more iconic grassroots music venues, The Joiners and The Croft, are now OFFICIALLY community owned buildings. Thanks to the herculean efforts of all involved, these institutions are saved - and with that, the opportunities for bands, music fans, and many more are secure for the next generation.
