Jared Flood’s Fort #wip#showmeyourknits#knitting
This is a super popular pattern judging by how many projects are on Ravelry. This is my second men’s sweater ( I have mostly female sweaters but the daughter’s boyfriend has expressed interest and I have deemed him knit-worthy).

If you’re feeling a bit fucked up mentally, wait a bit before you watch The Bear. Openly weeping at various points watching it. Feel a bit like a raw nerve processing other people’s trauma. #TheBear#hulu

Can’t sing enough praises about Valley yarn’s worsted weight Northampton. It’s Highland wool but very soft, tightly spun so doesn’t split and comes in a generous 247 yards already wound in a ball. Plus heathered colors. I am making Jared Flood’s Fort in a dark olive heathered color. #knitting

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS or other (non-LCH) dendritic or histiocytic sarcomas cases.

Just completed the Saven sweater from Meghan Babin. Had to make adjustments at the neckline because of a flaw in the design that makes the front bubble at the neckline ( many knitters had same issue).Went down 2 needle sizes at the top front at the neckline bind off. Fits him like a glove. #knitting

Has anyone entered into a physician pharmacist collaborative agreement before? Pros and cons? Am being somewhat pressured to sign one and it kind of feels icky because the hospital is trying to make money off of the drugs and it’s disturbing

Been dying to listen to Reputation coz I discovered Taylor Swift’s music with Folklore ( via Aaron Dessner).I won’t until she releases her version because of the injustice of what happened to her. Bummer because I really want to do a deep dive into her discography.

Ran around the house trying to figure out which smoke detector was out of battery. Surely there has to be a better way to figure out which one is chirping ( all night long)

Conundrum: following political accounts I used to follow in the bad place but this is derailing my plan to dissociate for the next 4 years. Can’t get sucked into the craziness anymore. I want cats and dogs and pictures of people’s chickens.

Has anyone else watched Drops of God on Apple TV+?
I binged it and it was really good. Complex, emotional, and surprisingly full of twists and turns.
Makes me want to do a wine tasting course and I am not even much of a wine drinker.

Watching ‘This Way Up’ on Hulu. It’s perfection. Aisling Bea is brilliant. So hard to find characters written in such a nuanced way. Bingeing the second season now.

I put up two hummingbird feeders this summer for the first time and had lots of squabbling customers till early September.
Just learned that they migrate to Mexico in late August/ early September.
I saw one tiny one at the feeder today and now I’m worried about him. Did he not get the memo?!
