In order for our neighbors and communities to feel safe we need to get ICE out of our city and state. I call on elected leaders at every level of government to work alongside the City Council and community leaders towards this goal.

One of my uncles was kidnapped by ICE yesterday. He was always there for my family and even helped my family afford my graduation party when I graduated college. 💔

Anything helps. ICE has no humanity. Hard workers literally being torn from their families.

This, to me, is a crucial part of the antidote to these atomized times. We are fundamentally social creatures and thrive best in community with others. When we deny ourselves connection, we deny ourselves a key ingredient to our health and happiness

I've learned a lot from Marianne Hirsch's work over the years, and respect her a great deal. It was affecting to hear this recent conversation she did with M. Gessen...It lays out a number of critical things to think about.
