The Hague District Court said the NL gov was failing to adequately reduce emissions & protect the people of Bonaire from climate change impacts eg. sea-level rise & extreme weather. It was ordered to develop an adaptation plan for the island & get tougher emissions targets. 2/3

🌊 Help address destructive fishing activities
🌊 Help challenge deep-sea mining

Now the commitments in the agreement have to be properly implemented and enforced because ‘protected’ must mean protected. 2/2
