If it had been "MLB Shortstop _ _ _ _ _ _ Rojas" my guess would have been "Cookie", and he was a second baseman. How long did you spend trying to make "Tejada" fit in those five spaces?

He played two other positions (2B & 3B) more than he played shortstop this year and didn't play shortstop at all in the postseason despite appearing in eight games!

Great way to make people who are unaware of the boycott also avoid your store.

Ouch. This is about T.R. Baskin (1971). The director blamed the script, saying he'd made "a terrible mistake" and that "after a while we were just trying to mask the flaws."

"E.R. Average"? "P.C."= winning percentage? "no-hit games" but "one hit games"? The placement (and, frankly, inclusion) of "(one tie)"? 😬

373 wins over 20 years, won 30 games three times, yet four of the seven lines on his plaque are dedicated to a single relief appearance when he was 39.

Young Frankenstein (1974) Blazing Saddles may be sharper satire, but this is Mel Brooks’s best film. A hilarious, affectionate tribute to 1930s Universal horror, it is beautifully filmed. The cinematography, music and sets are all outstanding, and the incredible cast elevates all of it. Essential.

Bride of Frankenstein (1935) Karloff’s monster is the weakest part of this sequel, which gets closer to the heart of Mary Shelley’s novel by zeroing in on the theme of loneliness. Fortunately, Ernest Thesiger’s Dr. Pretorius is a delicious villain, & the climactic reanimation scene is masterful.

One of the few MLB Network clips of me that still exists on line is an appearance I made to talk about my 1-through-30 uniform rankings for The Athletic. That was early 2020.

Truth be told, I was never a huge Metallica fan. They're an acquired taste for me, at best. I still don't care for Hetfield's vocals or Hammett's playing. Megadeth grabbed me immediately. At their respective peaks, it's not even close for me.

Rust in Peace is the best record either band ever made, and I choose Megadeth over Metallica because of that and most of So Far, So Good . . . (also Mustaine co-wrote half of Kill 'Em All, which is the best Metallica record). To me, Megadeth is the peak band and Metallica the career band.
