Now we know why Google named its flagship AI product after the legendary rocket ship program: Gemini’s third installment is truly out of this world. Should have an impact similar to Chat GPT ’s 3.5 launch almost three years ago.

Surely Mustafa Suleyman is thrilled to hear that I can’t agree more with his comments to CNBC about “conscious AI.” The notion that computers might attain human-like consciousness is, frankly, absurd (no offense, chat overlords).

I'm cautiously optimistic about @sama's take that this is the best time ever to start a company. The uncertainty is real, but so is plenty of leverage, tools, and access.

Google’s AI can now chat back-and-forth by voice. Impressive, sure… but I bet it still can't tell me how to fold a fitted sheet without giving up halfway and suggesting I “just roll it.”

Wikipedia hit pause on its AI-generated summaries pilot after editors found too many hallucinations. I guess when AI says “citation needed,” it might mean for reality itself.

Trust, but verify. Especially with robots.

OpenAI is building a social app to rival X (yeah, still weird calling it that).
I can't wait for bots arguing with bots about pineapple pizza while the rest of us hang out on the beach sipping Mai Tais.
Seriously though, I wouldn't bet against Sam and OpenAI.

Just watched this Sam Altman TED talk — definitely the most pointed interview I’ve seen him do. He gets a little squirmy

I don't recall any mention of “jobs” or "employment" the whole time 😬

In regards to AI, as opposed to much of everything else in life these days, today it’s the worst it will ever be. The question is, is better better for AI or better for humanity?
