I have a neighbor with a big giant pickup truck he only drives on weekends with a Vortex Optics sticker that almost splits the difference. Meaningless for most people, a glowing signpost for shooters. I would never, but to be fair, anyone who notices is probably already carrying.

Yeah, there are a bunch of bumper stickers that are basically "FREE GUN INSIDE" labels. On the other hand, no one's busting into "COEXIST" sticker cars for guns.
Yeah, I lean into the honest poverty motif myself. It helps that I can apparently only grow the "crazy street preacher guy" beard.

The classic argument against open carry is that it makes you the first target in a mass situation, and of course it upsets a lot of people who are otherwise nice folks. I'd lean towards concealed carry, but I'm glad I live somewhere my coat slipping up wouldn't make me a felon.

I'm pretty much with you there. Research shows an awful lot of firearms uses are simple displays that end the confrontation there. There's a big gap between folks willing to take your wallet and folks willing to risk a bullet to take your wallet.

Weirdly, it's all already illegal in several "legal marijuana" states, presumably to protect tax revenue.

I once took a friend whose Spanish wasn't great to a dentist in Guatemala City and the dentist turned out to have gone to a good dental school in my birth state and had perfect English (better than my friend's English). It was cheap, but most importantly he got her right in.

What constitutes "brandishing" varies greatly. Some places you can "display" a firearm and it's not a crime until you point it at someone. Other places having it drawn at all is brandishing, and in a number of places if your shirt rides up and they see the firearm at all it's brandishing.

Yes, normal people without double secret squirrel immunity should be aware this would get you at least arrested, probably shot.

Anywhere that a (R) could never win, the smarter (R)- natured politicians long ago learned they could run as Democrats and still take care of their donors, they just had to pose in front of a Pride flag twice a year.
In my "blue" city, D or R just determines which contractors get public contracts.
