The point is just as you made it. Diagnosis doesn’t work that way. And anyway he’s not pursuing treatment or seeking to better understand himself. He’s dead. We don’t need to treat him, and we already understand him better than most dead men. We living don’t need the detriment of false association!

the kicker is that I gave them several real definitions first!

conducted a double blind, fairly broad survey of my peers for my HS psych final, asking them to choose three traits they associate w/ bipolar ppl. it wasn’t useful or scientifically legitimate. I was 17. but the answers made me scared for my (newly diagnosed bipolar) life!
