My advice for having a nice bluesky experience:
- follow *and boost* anybody who posts weird/interesting stuff. If your paths diverge you can mute them
- interact with people in good faith and you'll often be met with the same (and gain followers)
- post the kinds of things you want to see more of!

Reading the lesson descriptions on DrawABox.com really feels like reading a wordy scientific paper at times, albeit one dumbed down to aN under-grad level. I just wanna draw man, why we talking about the distance between the viewer and an object in relation to infinity using theoretical mathematics

I always struggle to draw from memory, but not as rusty when drawing from a reference. Still nothing great, but better than expected. Definitely still not used to drawing with a pen. I like my undo button

It's wild that every one of my favorite #Yuri I've read ends about 5 volumes before it should. Anyone know what they do with those extra volumes? They like, toss em out or something? They store em somewhere?

Tried a slightly altered pose and recolor to practice. Was going to do shading but was short on time so tried the CSP shading assist, and boy do I not like it. It's messy and guesses wrong often, so in the end I had to do a lot of tweaking. But it did save some time I guess?

I think it's important to share old cringe art, if only to show your progress. This is one of my last attempts at art, and it discouraged me years ago. But since then I've learned that you have to be shot before you get good, and eager to work on improving.

Did the Elipsis practice, and geeze am I bad. Trying to alternate in using different joints and you can tell which I used my shoulder and my wrist. Need to practice drawing with my shoulder more but it feels so unnatural still :p I only ever drew with my wrist and that's been my biggest setback.

Tried drawing by ghosting lines and man I keep messing up. Tired, lack of space, and some third excuse.
I keep missing my mark since I can't see the point through my hand, and my arm is getting tired XD hopefully I can do better next time. But it's nice doing these exercises again after so long

Been returning to drawing after a decade of not doing it, and man I got rusty. So returning to basics! Starting with basic line making. Using a ultra fine point sharpie until it 💀 on me and swapping to a extra fine pilot. Very much prefer the latter and you can see it in my accuracy.

Learning to draw slime is hard. I don't like anything, then it looks great, then you add a pixel and it looks so bad. Idk anymore, does this look good or bad? WHICH IS BETTER?! HELP!
