Beowulf is having a lazy day to avoid the sleet.

Tried to take Beowulf out via the garage and he was against it.

The Anastasia crown does come in blue, actually, but the pictures weren't as complete.

Contemplating a crown.

Which one do we like better?

One of the mugs I bought because my ISTP friend had the quote on her wall.

I never know what day it is anymore.

Repost with a wintry picture you took.

A tiny bit of Haberdashers for you.

18. Risk

Mostly I love this game because my eldest brother was disturbingly good at it, so he was fun to watch (if you didn't mind losing).

And my 40+ gamers - is your oldest set of d6 red and green? It's because you stole it out of this box, in case you forgot.

17. Kingmaker

We played this A LOT in the 80s and 90s, and it was the beginning of my obsession with Richard III.

16. Tavern Master

My brother introduced me to this one and we both played it obsessively for months. The bartending bard blood even shows up in our game preferences.

15. Betrayal at House on the Hill

We loved this game even before we found out the creator is local. I've met him and he is fabulous.

Now if I can only figure out why I've been the betrayer a statistically impossible number of times...

14. Firefly: Out to the Black

You know when you love and hate a game at the same time? That's this game. It is HARD. Things never go smooth. We played it a bunch just to see if we could get better at it.

Things never go smooth...

13. Gloom

Almost forgot about this one, but hubs mentioned it this morning. Oh, how we love you, Gloom.

Looks like it's a little hard to get ahold of now, but they also came up with a dozen varieties while I wasn't looking. Gloom of Thrones? Bwhahahaha.

11. Every couple of years my husband gets me a new activity book of crosswords, logic puzzles, etc. because sometimes I just want to do an easy puzzle and tune out of life.
January 18, 2026 at 3:21 AM
10. Horrified is one of my new obsessions. Cooperative games are my jam, and this is a great one.

9. 5E (AD&D 5th Edition)

While 2E is where I started playing with larger gaming groups, 5E is where I started playing online. I've had so many fun times playing and running games on platforms like Roll20. This was also when I discovered artists who can illustrate characters for a reasonable fee.

8. Gabriel Knight. This came out just when I needed a dose of New Orleans, and remains a sentimental favorite. It doesn't hurt that the voice cast includes Tim Curry, Mark Hamill, Leah Remini, and Michael Dorn.

7. Trivial Pursuit.

Played this a LOT in the 80s, when I learned that I had a creepy knowledge of sports and alcohol simply absorbed from my atmosphere, and absolutely no sense of geography. I can't keep up with all the new versions.
