I mean, it's so many things in this state. We have our own code. There was an ad for awhile where a non-Virginian said "Norfolk" and my husband snapped back at the tv every. single. time. it came on.

criticize whatever you must and loudly - legacy, indie, trade, influencer, etc. but news is vital. great work is everywhere. shout it out when you see it. i'm so grateful for what we learn from reporting fearless to fun or fast and accurate. (well aware of the faults too.)

On the other hand, my understanding is it was originally Route 10 (R. 10) and that is a whole other kettle of fish.

My favorite trivia is that ChatGPT sounds like "chat j'ai pété," which means "cat I have farted," a source of humor for French speakers.
