One down side to switching to BlueSky is that I can’t tag my members of Congress. Best I can tell they aren’t subscribed here. 🤨

This is behind a pay wall, but the question in the subtitle says it all. Members of Congress, such as ours here in Oklahoma, need to lead the way in curtailing this president.

@allinwithchris.bsky.social @maddow.msnbc.com @briefingwithpsaki.bsky.social Push back when visiting financial reporters or economists toss a phrase about the US spending problem. We have a debt and budget deficit problem, but spending is not the biggest problem. Decades of tax cuts caused it.

Even some otherwise very liberal economists carelessly blame federal spending for the national debt. Unwise tax cuts over decades have caused this debt.

People need to understand this: Trump did not leave office willingly the first time. If his health holds up, he will not leave office willingly this time. He is not joking about serving more than two terms.

It’s a coup, but it is one in progress. Progress can be mucked up and eventually stopped.
Call it what it is.
A week ago, I wrote a piece here called “Is It Really a Coup?” My answer, based on the evidence in front of us, was yes.
