What is wild about this story is that Deloitte has been allowed to keep 80% of the massive fees it charged for using ChatGPT to produce rubbish and passing it off as actual work. (One might add, why was a consulting firm purporting to give legal advice anyway, hmmm?)

It is extremely unconventional (ie against a political convention that exists for very good reasons) for an opposition leader to make foreign policy commitments, but it can be seen as a marker of desperation from a party that is most likely never going to be in government again.

Not one journo covering the US visit could explain what good they would expect to come of the meeting.

The best thing Albanese can do is not meet Trump.
If Trump doesn't raise his threatening abuse of Australian journalist @johnthelyonsden.bsky.social when he meets Albanese, then Albanese must. And he must defend Lyons. This ugly authoritarian behaviour by Trump proves how far our two country's values are diverging.

But when this photo was taken her husband - PAUL NEWMAN - had never won one, so, she made one for him and called it ‘Noscar’ (No Oscar).

Here she is presenting it to him at their home in 1958.
