They are actively trying to distance themselves from their very anti-LGBTQ+ past, but there’s a lot of history and distrust to overcome. Truly, the LGBTQ community feels similarly toward most churches, particularly one that is “evangeliesque”

It’s disheartening. They are capable of and do some good work. I will never understand any church that turns their backs on segments of the population like this.

My 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 and 🏳️‍🌈 daughters brought this to my attention many moons ago. Subsequently I volunteered at a homeless shelter where I learned that 🏳️‍🌈 unhoused people use an app to search LGBTQ+ friendly locations because the Salvation Army is never an option.

I applauded the Houston government for this decision. I might even buy some now, knowing that it will support Feed Nova Scotia

Same for us. Manually checked our meter and 2000 kwh less than NSPC’s estimate. We’re on budget billing so it didn’t affect our monthly bill, but not everyone is in our boat.

We've been in this home for the last 9 Christmases and, FINALLY, I was able to box up all the decorations that have not gone up in that time and donated them to our local SPCA thrift store. It was both anxiety-inducing and cathartic.
