Over the next few years, existing street vendors will have a genuine opportunity to apply for licenses and operate without fear of excessive fines or penalties.

HISTORIC! A supermajority of @council.nyc.gov members (39/51!!!) voted to reform the NYC street vending system by passing Int. 431.

As the daughter and granddaughter of street vendors, I could not be more proud of how far we’ve come.

That's why a broad coalition is supporting it!

Learn about Int. 431-B, shaped by feedback from a wide range of stakeholders!

Street Vending in NYC is broken, but my bill, Int. 431-B, is a balanced path towards reform.

The bill pairs expanded ✨access to licenses with more enforcement resources✨ a clearer, faster, and more enforceable accountability framework.

3,000 ... YUP ... 😮‍💨

We distributed over 3,000 turkeys and hundreds of food bags to District 14 residents.

Our work to reach our constituents would not be possible without our incredible partners rooted in our neighborhoods.

Thank YOU for your partnership.

HUGE moment for street vending reform 🤝🤝

Vendors, restaurants, bodegueros, supermarkets, and NYC electeds stood together on the steps of City Hall to call on
@council.nyc.gov to pass my bill, Int. 431, which aims to bring urgently needed reform to the broken street vending system.

On this #TransDayOfRemembrance, we remember our transgender siblings lost due to hateful violence.

Today, and every day, we honor and celebrate the memory, lives, and joy they left with us. 🤍🤍

A redevelopment project of this scale is rare in my district; so when the opportunity arises, it is critical that we stay true to what our people have long been asking for—and deserve.

Together, we have won a project that will deliver what I know is possible in the W. Bronx: a future on our terms.

Having grown up in the shadows of the Kingsbridge Armory, I know what this structure represents: the immense potential of our community, decades of disinvestment, and now the promise of a better future for our people and the Bronx.

Too often, communities like ours are left behind.
October 30, 2025 at 5:26 PM
[email protected] has voted to approve the Kingsbridge Armory redevelopment plan for a historic $375 M investment through private and public funding and a $2.6 B economic impact.

🌟 Today's vote is deeply personal and a long-time coming. 🌟

What a fang-tastic time 🧛‍♂️

400+ community members joined me at Boo at the Bronx Zoo for breakfast, a dance party + a meet-and-greet with several new animal friends! 🦎

I’m proud that my office, in collaboration w/WCS, was able to provide such a spook-tacular opportunity for the community again.
