Information Systems Professor. I teach programming and write about Stereotypes, AI, Conspiracy Theory Ideation, and Resistance to Technology.
Some of those solopreneurs are very nimble (I know a few) and can wake up in the morning with an idea and just get down to making happen right away. To me, this is very exciting.

So, the dude's last wish was to be buried in a coffin that would scare the ever-loving bejeesus out of kids?

THIS is exactly what NOT to say to people who are concerned.

The important thing right now is that there is a chance to get Trump to associate a Ukrainian victory with his own ego. Let's feed this. Once Russia stops its murder spree, I'll get back to hating Trump. For now... I'll do whatever I can to encourage him to help Ukraine. Even if it feeds his ego.

Eventually, liberal democracies will need a defense against nuclear weapons. I write this because it seems inevitable that some government somewhere will actually use them. It is governmental malpractice not to be working toward a missile defense.

I think that it's the apparent lack of any need for cognition that makes the MAGA crowd seem stupid. Trump says things like this that invite skepticism and his followers just nod their heads and seem to take it in as fact. So how can the rest of us not think they are stupid?

Seriously hoping this is good. The ad I saw wasn't very good, but I'll see it anyway. Thinking about this sketch: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2Co... and am holding out hope that this will be good.

Paywall, so I'll just ask here. Does the article define narcissism, and does it offer some solution, beyond derision and condemnation? Right now, I see a lot of the world's problems as the result of dismissing the concerns of others, leading to frustration and echo chambers.

Clicked on this post to see if anyone else objected to this. Glad to see that I'm not the only one who hates Copilot. It is just always in my way. I love AI and I use AI all the time. Just not Copilot.

Meh. I just let my students know what they can and should use it for. I test them in person for how well they understand the "how and why" of whatever topic I'm covering.

Wow... even if you didn't know that the people in the bottom picture are monsters who traded their humanity for depravity, you wouldn't want to be a part of their little gang. You can tell by just looking at them.
