Amazing how much lighting and pose can change perception of a person eg compared to your profile picture.

Critical to look at hours spent on things like games and then calculating days, weeks etc. while fun are you really going to be glad you spent 3 weeks of your life angry at something you don’t even like playing.

I have seen so many people hamper their careers by fighting against a dumb system or focusing so much on changing it compared to moving well within it. Desiring change is admirable and for some it will work but it's also a path to burn out and frustration.

The best thing about this that I have realised as I got older is I don’t need or want to find a game’s community online. Reddit, steam, whatever. It’s always the worst people that hate the product and spend all their time complaining.

Even better if it appears as the first thing on the page before I have even started the article.

I want iOS to have a kid mode that lets them click a bunch of things without changing my banking password and calling the police.

I like having them as packages since it becomes a bit of a barrier from a wider team potentially modifying something that doesn't need to be modified. I also feel like it's a simpler approach as a user.

Vite is a pleasure to use. Have really enjoyed it on some of my smaller projects recently including the nickbuilds.com website.

Threads had some momentum for a bit but did really feel like it died off. Instagram integration is very good especially for creators but feels like the product has been abandoned now.
