No, but it does lead to the conclusion that anyone with Corbyn's beliefs and integrity would be subject to the same. So the only way to get a standard left-wing party into No10 would be to change the rules on lobbying, and get plurality of the press. That or become the enemy like Starmer did - Tory.

Starmer had a leadership team working on replacing Corbyn with himself 6 months before the election. Corbyn was also subject to one of the most vicious political assassinations in UK history - paid for by a foreign lobby. Corbyn got membership from 200k to around 580k. Turned funding into a surplus.
