Cut together a little reel of my animation learning progress in 2025.

I aim to have a lot more and better stuff coming soon. Too much for a 2026 reel, I hope.

Day 14!

I stuck with it and showed up every day for my silly challenge. Even days I realllllly didn't want to.

To honor my little marathon, I came back to the first Cheetah I drew on day one, and them gets a nap now.

If I'm being honest, this is too many days of consecutive cat drawing.

But I'm determined to complete all 14 days even though I'm running out of ideas.

Anyway, a simple walk cycle but the kitty is in the water.

Day 11.
I was able to get some sleep, but not enough to stay up late animating tiger stripes.

So today is a stripeless tiger playing a claw machine.

I actually really like the way this came out and I can see how SLEEP affects my ability to do things.

Day 10. No real animation today because I'm severely underslept.

But I did add butterflies and soend some time studying tiger shapes!

Day 9.

I'm just being goofy with this now.

I think it's great progress that I can turn the reference images into a cat that can move believably.

Day 8. This one was rough, I got no sleep last night and I couldn't think of what to animate the cat doing.

Still, I don't hate it.

Day 7 of draw too many cats in december.

I did not want to stay up doing this today. But, halfway there.

Just a little trot.

Day 6. I was really tired today but I still think I managed to improve a little.

Honestly I am starting to literally see drawing of big cats when I close my eyes now.

Anyway, I tried to animate the leopard turning from the reference image about 90 degrees.

Day 5. This one was kind of hard but I'm calling it at the end of the day.

I have like 9 more days of this. But I do think I am getting better at making cats look right.

Day 4. Moving from Cheetah to Leopard.

I thought drawing from photo reference then doing a short animation around the pose would be easier than this.

Still, I feel like I'm inproving. Sorry I didn't in-between all the frames.

Okay. Day 3 of 14. I feel like I am getting better but still making mistakes.

I had to call it before really finishing this. The head is always too big. I can't stop doing that.

Day 2 of my "try to learn to draw cats right before Christmas" challenge.

I'm just keying in rough animation from the photo reference.
